TEASER INT. LIVING ROOM - EVENING KERRA D’ANGELO, (30’s) auburn hair, big brown eyes wearing a police uniform walks into her house after being dropped off by her PARTNER. She kicks off her shoes, walks over to the sofa and lays down. KERRA Uuuugh! What a day! After a moment, she looks around curiously. She gets up, walks to the basement door and cracks the door. She slowly walks down the stairs but stops in her tracks halfway down. INT. BASEMENT - EVENING Her husband MATTHEW D’ ANGELO and his partner VINCENT MANCINO are in the basement talking. Where are we going? Kerra looks at Lilly in the mirror. KERRA Not much longer honey. LILLY I have to pee. Kerra looks at Michael. KERRA Do you have to go to? Michael continues to look out the window. MICHAEL No. Kerra pulls off at the next exit. She parks and hops out of the car. Lilly unbuckles her seat belt and gets out. Michael doesn’t move. KERRA We’ll be right back. Keep the doors locked. Kerra closes her door and clicks the button on her remote to lock the doors and walks into the gas station with Lilly. Michael pulls out his cell phone, scrolls, and dials. Nothing. The phone does not make a sound. He tries a few more times and nothing. He holds it in the air to make sure he has a signal. No service. Kerra and Lilly come out of the gas station and walk towards the car. Michael puts his phone away. Kerra and Lilly get in the car, put on their seat belts and Kerra drives away. Kerra looks into the rear view mirror at Michael. KERRA (CONT’D) We’ll be there soon. Michael looks at her. MICHAEL Why doesn’t my phone work? Kerra is silent. MICHAEL (CONT’D) Mom?
