People’s point of views should be looked at before judging. A person can’t judge another without taking in the circumstances of the other’s life. People can’t judge others if they don’t understand them and, “‘You never really understand a person until you consider things from their point of view… until you climb into his skin and walk
Humans are very judgmental. They judge people and things depending on how they look, how they dress and how they act. They even judge situations and giving it the wrong impression. They base judgement on things that could’ve happened in their past or even the present. They probably grew up under judgements of other people.
In an article Menon stated, “We generally tend to judge people just by looking at their outward appearance” (Menon 1). This is true, but why is everyone so quick to judge? Nearly all the population finds it easier to establish groups before getting to know them because they don’t want to take the time to learn about a person. Outer appearance can say nothing of a person’s moral, looks can be deceiving. Menon later stated, “I find it thought provoking how someone could get so attached to another person and trust him or her so wholly after just knowing how he or she looks” (Menon 1).
People have always been judged since the beginning of time. From the pitch of their voice all the way to the way they walk. It is sometimes a first instinct for many people and appearances can also be the determining factor for many positions. Although, the most common way people are judged is by their appearance, which is completely inhumane since nobody is perfect. So it obviously isn’t fair to judge by physical appearances alone.
Why do we judge before we know a person? Why do we discriminate one another? The four sources periwinkles by Bruce Holland Rogers, The scorpion and the frog, Responsible driver and lastly How could a mother by Bruce Holland rogers all share a common theme that everyone sees things differently and because of that people may judge and discriminate one another. When we talk about morality in counseling it’s about the reasoning by the counselor that has four levels. In Phillis Wheatley’s “On Virtue” she speaks about the need to understand and get to know love. The poem was written with an emphasis on symbolism with the “Jewel” truly meaning love and she want to attempt to receive it, but she can’t understand it without the help of God. Wheatley opens the poem with “O thou bright jewel in my aim I strive to comprehend thee.” (1-2) which states that the Jewel (love) is within her reach to gain it but she needs to understand and learn about it before she can have it for herself.
Role Models In Part I Families, Values, Virtues by John Wooden he talks a lot about role models and how they are extremely important. One thing he said that really caught my attention was on page 5: “Being a role model is the most powerful form of educating. Youngsters need good models more than they need critics. It is one of a parent’s greatest responsibilities and opportunities.”
Looks are everything in today 's society, Everyone places so much emphasis on how we look, talk, walk, and more. The main reason why we judge people so much is human instinct it 's just natural the we look down on people and we esteem on people. How you judge people is based on how you grow up and who you are going to be, and how you can distict people you will be friends with, whom you will be enemies with, or who you will live the rest of your life with. Everything in today 's society is how you judge people and without it the world would be completely different that it is now. People are always judging each other from the day they are born to the day that they die.

Independence means that you can support yourself without owning or depending on yourself concerned with livelihood or studying. You can make decision of your life without being controlled by the others.
In this society people tend to judge everyone even if they don't know them. When you see someone passing by, you look at them from head to toe, you see someone that has a different hair color you immediately think in your head and rate it if it looks good in that person or if it doesn’t. In this world peoples first instincts is to judge someone even if you don’t think about it. Woman till this day are being judged by the way they speak or the way they act. I strongly believe that we should definitely stop judging people just by the way they look or act, in this world there's a lot of negativity that goes around.
