6th hour Having a troubled life can make it hard to make decisions. Having divorced will make you do anything to make either one happy with each other. Ashes is a troubled girl with divorced parents. Ashes has to make a decision that will make Ashes choose between her mom or her dad. This decision will change her life to who she loves more. Ashes did take the money because Ashes was influenced by her dad, Ashes didn’t want to disappoint her dad, Ashes loved her dad more than her mom.
Ashes was influenced by her dad. The story justified that… “ I have a chance at something big”, he said. “ All I need to do is put together a little financing and I will be set for life” ( Pfeffer, 2). All the talk about her dad being set for life made Ashes think that if he helped her dad then maybe he will help her mom. Ashes is willing to help both parents because she loves them both. The story used… “It will be the start for something big” (Pfeffer, 2). Ashes liked the idea of it being really big and hopes that her dad can get the money. Ashes loved her dad more than her mom. The story stated… “ You are one in a million” (Pfeffer, 4). Ashes loves to complimented by her dad she feels very happy around her dad than her mom. Compliments are what she doesn’t get from her mom and that 's why Ashes is swaying to her dad 's side. The story illustrated… “ I wouldn’t have any other dad” ( Pfeffer, 2). Ashe’s dad is different from her friends parents her dad is optimistic. Ashe’s mother is very level headed for ashes and she like optimistic parents more. The story used… “ I love you so much, you are ten thousand times better than what I deserve” (Pfeffer, 3). All the compliments that her dad has given her made Ashes do what dad says.
