In the short story, “Ashes” Ashleigh has to make a decision to trust her dad to pay back the money, or not pay her dad the money. Ashleigh is a good person but she will not pay her dad the money. He wants the money to keep and if he pays them then how can he pay his mom back? Also going out to eat can only be a little but when he is borrowing $200 dollars he does not have but he thinks he can pay her mom back to is a lie. Last Ashleigh got offered anywhere to go so she could have wanted to go to a place that for one person it can be $20 and then her dad would need $220 ($20 for food and $200 for her mom
