Death is not an easy subject to talk about for most people. It makes many people uncomfortable, especially when the specific subject is suicide. With that being said, euthanasia and assisted suicide seems to be a subject that a lot of people want to talk about. Most of the talk is about whether or not euthanasia and assisted suicide should be legal. I will state my opinion right now. I do believe that both should be legal. Not because I support suicide, but because I believe that people should have the right to choose when to die and be able to have the help needed to make it painless and easy. I think people should have to give a very good reason as to why they want to die but they should be given the choice and resources.

Whether or not euthanasia and assisted suicide should be legal is a topic that many people like to talk about lately. I have already stated that I do believe it should be legal. I think a person’s death should be up to them and that if the person chooses to die then they should be given the necessary resources to assist them in the process. Not only that but we know that not all diseases are curable. So a terminally ill person that is suffering should have the right to be assisted in their own death if that is what they choose. Many people and physicians believe that euthanasia and assisted suicide is unethical. But isn't forcing a person to live through pain and suffering just as unethical and taking their life? If a person wants to die and believes that it is the right choice for them, then who are to to say that it isn't right. It is their life and their death, they should be the ones to choose when to live or die.
