In the first few chapters I wasn't fond of this book, however as we went in depth I started admiring and appreciating the characters, writing style and plot. "To Kill A Mockingbird", by Harper Lee is about the Finch children recognizing prejudice and racism in their neighbourhood (Maycomb County), with the guidance of their father Atticus Finch, a lawyer who has righteous principles. Atticus Finch is one of the characters that I highly respect in this novel. I really admire how he treats his children because of how involved he is in their lives, but at the same time he allows them to decide for themselves. Atticus' intimate relationship with his children is evident when Scout and Jem call him by first name with attachment of high regards. He
