How To Attract Men Of Color To Be Teachers
Education is important and that is why most countries are making an effort to make it free for the lower level. A teacher is equally important because he has to pass tutor your children for academic achievement and be that great person in life. However, nowadays the students are of mixed races but the teachers are mostly female and the men available are mostly white. Men of color are shying away from the teaching profession due to various reasons, but it would be of great benefit to the students and also school if they had such teachers.
The governments could find ways of attracting the non-white male teachers into the teaching profession by:
Increase Teacher Diversity

With this in mind, there is a need to review this ideology and set the profession and portray it’s a prestigious career. Show respect to teachers and invite them to reform conversations.
Lower College Fee
Most colleges that offer the teaching course charge very high, therefore, hindering enrollment of black students. This makes it hard for them to want to teach because they will have student loans or even debts. To attract more people it would be best to lower the fee or even offer to pay for them part of the college fees for lower-income students. They could also offer them jobs at their schools such as coaches, mentoring and this will give them the motivation to want to teach.
Partner With Community Colleges
Many students of color can afford to go to colleges within their local community, but cannot be a teacher because they don’t have a bachelor degree which is a pre-requisite to become a teacher. So the government should provide a way in which students can transfer their credits to universities so that they can transition more easily and help them attain the degree
