Overall, the book is a great read, even for those who do not enjoy
I did not have many complaints. Even though, at times, I may have felt there was information or conversations that were not entirely needed, it did add more depth to the book and allowed the reader to see more into each individual
There wasn't much to dislike about this story. I did however find that I didn't like how some topics were left unexplored and unexplained. If I
I thought the book was pretty good it has action and sorrow and fun stuff and It is pretty exciting.
This novel is a tale of a young girl 's life named Julie. Julie had been through a lot including her only brother named Masenier dying and her Papa has, well, leaving her having to do all outside man work being the strong one in the family. Julie meets a guy named Hank and they get married and move to Gap Creek in South Carolina, where they get a house for cheap from a man named Mr. Pendergast who made a deal with them that they don 't have to pay rent as long as they do the household for him such as cooking and laundry. Ma Richards, who is Hanks mother, visits them who has nothing better to do it seems like but to blame others. Later on, the house caught on fire which Julie was finally able to put it out before it spread to the floors and walls after Mr. Pendergast being burned from a tank exploding while he was in
The only thing I didn 't like about the book was how it was written. I think it would be way better if it was written as a story in 1st person about there life and not how it was written. The book didn 't really make me think differently about things because I know what I think about slavery and no one can change my mind
This review didn’t showcase any of the negative and weak points in the story. This makes the review seem very biased and unbelievable. Every book has at least one downfall and by not including a counterargument in their review gives off the impression that they may have been paid to put this book in a good light. I wouldn’t buy the book based off of this review
I went and read several other reviews on this story and the majority said that they loved this book. And another can be also added to that list, myself. I absolutely fell in love with this book. After getting a couple of chapters in, the story really started to pull me in. I would look at the clock and realize that I had been reading for over an hour when it felt like I had been reading for twenty minutes.
Overall I would give the book 3 out of five stars because I didn’t really like the book because it was very slow paced throughout the entire book with a lot of filler chapters that didn’t contribute to the plot of the
Yes, i enjoyed this book very much it really had me endcapped into the book at all times because there are so much happening and so much hatred towards 1 person. I would recommend it to others because it is a very good book and a easy
I disliked the story, actually I hated the story, I didn't find it interesting at all. When I was reading the book I found myself having to reread some parts of the story all over again because I wasn't getting where the story was going, basically I just wasn't interested, it wasn't captivating. The issues the book made me feel and think about where teen drinking, smoking, the use of teenage drug use and sex. I say this because throughout the whole book it seemed like drugs, alcohol and sex were the main source of the story which made me think the author was supporting teenage drinking, drug use and sex. I say this because the author didn’t include the consequences and effects that come with drinking, drug use and underage sex throughout
Overall the book is fairly slow, slightly good plot, and several underdeveloped
This book was interesting for me because it allowed me to relate to a character. I love reading novels that not only allow me to feel a connection with a character, but allow me to relate to their personality or
The book is about a girl named Emma , who has been in foster care her entire life. One day her foster brother shows her a video of a girl who looks exactly like her getting strangled. But the girl in the video isn't Emma. Emma finds the girl and sends her a message. The girls name is Sutton.
We sometimes sit for hours and ponder the meaning of life. Every person has his own set of wants, needs, and desires. But it isn 't until we go out and do the thing that we have imagined, that we really explore that we love. Every person has a unique mind; every person has the ability to share different views. If we ask every person the entire world what they believe on the meaning of life is, we would receive several answers.
