For decades, Australia has cleared land, destroyed native wildlife habitat and not to mention ongoing cruelty to kangaroos, wombats and emus. All to “protect” these sheep, who lives are absolute hell, only to have it end on horrible ships. But, do you know what is actually going on in these ships? Each year, Australia exports over four million live sheep to the Middle East. But, around 40,000 sheep die every year even before they reach their destination. In a country, on remote properties, it starts with the mustering of sheep, and it finishes with inhumane animal slaughter. With the sheep being handled at least six times which is carried out up to 3 weeks. It’s even before they enter the ship that these sheep are stressed by water deprivation and food, high temperatures of heat when being transported for up to 50 hours to reach the voyage and the amount of sheep they stock on the ships. …show more content…

The sheep were pulled by their legs and left in excruciating pain until the point when they were slaughtered whilst remaining fully conscious with several cuts to the throat with a blunt knife. Documented was sheep left crouching on metal runners, slowly bleeding to death. In February 2012 recorded in Indonesia, was the torture to live sheep of butchering which no one checked if the sheep were dead first. Australian sheep were being desecrated alive in searing agony. This incident was concealed by the Australian Government’s ESCAS plan. In September 2012, Australian sheep were sent to the Middle East in breach of regulation where they were being sold in the market by traders. One out of the two-hundred sheep was seen dragged by their legs, dumped on bodies of dead sheep to have their life ended by their throat being cut out by a rusty
