There are many forms of autism and people dont always express it the same. Autism Spectrum Disorder is a nurological difference that makes a person think and act irregularly. Christopher Boone from the curious incident of the dog in the night-time and Temple from Temple Grandin both have autism. They both have the same condition but they express it in different ways, there differences can be found in how they act and even how they cope with their condition. There are similarites found on people with autism as well. Usually astonishing memory, deep care for insignificant things, and dislike for physical contact can be found in people with the condition. One example of this is their social life. Temple Grandin is set in the 1950’s, when much less is known about autism. There are many instances in the movie when classmates nad peers are laughing and making fun of Temple because she is different. Christopher on the other hand goes to a special school for kids with special needs. His story is set in the present where autism is much more understood and people are more cautious around ASD. A significant difference between the two is how they were raised. Christopher is cottled and treated like he is helpless, this leads to Mr. Shears thinking Christophers parents made his the way he is. Christopher needs help with almost everything he does, this is what makes christopher making his way to london such an impactful section of the story. Temple was raised almost the opposite of Christopher. She was exposed to problems early on, this helped her deal with bullies and difficulties later in her life. Her mother did help her with many things but still had Temple figure life out mostly on her own. Temples childhood is what allowed her to be successful and work through her problems rather that break
