While the long term planning is defined as looking three or more years down the road it can changes constantly depending on how effective the short term planning has been. Short term planning is just as important as long term planning; some examples that go into short term planning could be how many employees to hire or to keep on staff, salary of those hired, when to start expanding or if expansion is even probable. More times than not this doesnt work, but for those elite few, when they make it big they make it ultra big. This is the case for a huge company with humble beginnings. Apple computer started in 1976 in Steve Jobs garage (The Apple Revolution, 2009). Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak was able to take a personal computer idea and turn it into a multibillion dollar company. With the short term and long term plan's it was able to develop the ipod, iphone, and ipad. With Steve Jobs and his associates paving the way for young entreprenuers, by following their example it is possible to successfully start a new company from nothing.
