Sometimes babysitting my neighbors children can be difficult. There are a lot of rules that their kids and I have to follow. Mainly to keep all of them safe. Having rules to keep people safe is standard. When I am a mother I will have rules for my children also. There are many dangers to keep them safe from such as dating. My children will need to follow strict rules when they start to date. First, there needs to be an adult present in any house with the kids. Teenagers make mediocre choices, some that could affect them for a long time. The adult does not need to be in the same room, but will need to be in the same building. Although the kids need space they need to make the right decisions with their space. I will trust my children to make all the right choices, however I will not trust their significant other. My son or daughter should not be dating someone who is a bad influence. I do not want my kids to have anything to do with a negative roll model. Approvement of the boyfriend or girlfriend is very important. Not just to know if their special friend makes bad choices, but to have a good relationship with the significant other.
