Back to the Future is a wonderful work of art directed by Robert Zemeckis and composer Alan Silvestri. The movie is based on the main character Marty Mcfly who accidentally gets sent back 30 years in the past on a time traveling DeLorean. Marty faces many challenges as he accidently changes the future by stopping his parents from ever going to the enchantment under the sea dance; where their relationship had initially been formed. Thirty year old younger Doctor Emmet Brown, the inventor of the time traveling DeLorean, tries to help Marty get back to 1985. Marty must try to get his parents back together and try to figure out how to get back to 1985 before him and his siblings get erased from existence.

The clown music assured me that everything I was seeing was just a joke and for entertainment purposes only, so it made me feel ok to laugh. To me, it seemed unreal. It went from an sci-fi movie to a comedy. It makes a lot of sense now of why the composer and director work closely together to really portray their vision. Without the music, it would be a completely different movie. Although Back to the Future is a great film, in this particular scene I was a bit confused on one segment of the music.
