In the articles,"Posture Affects Standing and Not Just the Physical Kind" by Jane E.Brody and in,"Your iPhone is Ruining Your Posture-and Your Mood ' by Amy Cuddy, both Cuddy and Brody give valid able arguments on everyday things we do that can affect our health.I think that both arguments are well thought out and written to the best of the authors literate skills.Brody 's argument is based off of how posture affects your mood in everyday life.Then there 's Cuddy who believes that it 's technology that makes us hunch.Both of these are arguments that have to do with one thing and that is how you feel and how hunching affects your lifestyle. Brody, in her article, states that posture is the main reason why that people are hunching, she does not believe that phones are the cause."Poor posture can have ill effects that radiate throughout the body, causing back and neck pain, muscle fatigue, breathing limitations, arthritic joints, digestive problems and mood disturbances.It can also create a bad impression when applying for a job, starting a relationship or making new friends."What Brody says in her quote here is that of the bad effects bad posture can …show more content…
Cuddy, in her article unlike Brody, states that technology is the root cause of hunching and not posture."the average head weighs about 10 to 12 pounds.When we bend our necks forward 60 degrees, as we do to use our phones, the effective stress on our neck increases to 60 pounds-the weight of about five gallons of paint."What Cuddy is saying in her article is that phones are causing hunching and is causing more of a physical problem rather than a mental one.Cuddy also believes that strenuous weight is being put on us as well in which would also be considered a physical problem.Cuddy also believes that we 're so attached to our phones that it 's difficult to put them down.Hunching also affect our productivity because we 're so stuck in it that we don 't stop to look around once
