Baker Hughes Chemicals (BHC) deals with the oilfield environment. When oil comes out of the ground, water and other substances, such as rock formation and iron, emerge with the oil. Oil companies use chemicals to purify the oil so they can sell it to oil refineries. Oil companies also use chemicals to clean their equipment and to keep their equipment, such as an oilfield pump jack, functioning properly. Some problems that might arise with the equipment involve scale, corrosion, and bacteria. BHC primary duties are to sell chemical and service the equipment with chemical. BHC invents, manufactures, and delivers chemical to customers. Voluntary employee turnover is an employee who voluntarily chooses to resign from the employer (Major, 2016). All companies are made up by people. When employees choose to leave the company, the company must find other people to replace them. Replacing an employee has very harmful effects to a company. Not just the monetary value to recruit, hire, and train a new employee, but there are also other consequences for having to replace an employee such as loss of productivity or loss of confidence in leadership (Major, 2016). When an employee voluntarily leaves a company, the effects can negatively influence employee morale and effectiveness, and ultimately hurts the profitability of the company. Voluntary employee turnover also effects customer service because it takes time for a new employee to function at the level of the replaced employee (Major, 2016). Customer relationships can also be effected because a decrease in customer service when an experienced employee voluntary chooses to leave the company (Major, 2016).
