Little did I know then that the teachers are always looking for three things; technique, confidence, and artistry. The audition was for Nutmeg Ballet Conservatory. The class was being held at the Alvin Ailey School in New York City. Being my paranoid self, I was there two hours early.

Through her intelligence and ambition, she graduated valedictorian and accepted her job that would continue, although she did not know, until she died. However, it is about dance not just a story about picking up a book and reading it on the first try. This girl was able to become a great dancer because of the lessons and dance terms she learned through dance classes while being an “apprentice” of dance (Gee 10). Brouillette states that “These words got me amazing job I am a student teacher and helping younger children understand dance words just like I learned when I was their age.” This shows proof that literacy sponsors are important. They are especially important here, because thanks to Brouillette’s sponsor of dance she mastered the dance Discourse itself and was able to become a sponsor for someone
Everyday, she excels in her job of caring for the children and making a difference in the community. Due to her kindness she would always bring thoughtful gifts for the children. She doesn 't have to do the classes with the children everyday but she continues to do it like Sylvia says “school supposed to let out in the summer I heard, but she dont never let up” (Bambara 96). The lessons learned while earning her degree has lead her to becoming a positive role model in the children 's lives; nonetheless, teaching them lessons that may never learn from others. An example of this can be seen when Jessica gets her running leg. This makes her have more hope for running again, and she becomes way more confident. But the change really happens when Jessica actually uses the running leg. She starts running every single day. This is constantly making her more confident than she ever was.
For a classroom to function smoothly, a teacher must have control over his or her students. While teachers have very little control over monetary allocations, what they do have total control over is their time with their students. To make sure that the time they spend with their students is effective and conducive to their learning, they need to correctly manage their classroom. My host teacher, Margarita Zatt, is overall very thorough in her management of her classroom in a multitude of ways. The students are grouped into tables of six, and many tasks are completed as a group.
In this short story, we witness how a parent’s good intentions can ultimately lead to the destruction of their child’s motivation. The road to prodigy all began when Jing-Mei’s mother desired her to be a “Chinese Shirley Temple” (Tan). After the countless movies watched and the failed trip to the beauty school, that dream came to an end as quickly as it had started. This however, opened the door to many more tests of trial and error.

Ever since i was young i fell in love with the art of dance. When i finally joined i felt like i was a little behind hence everyone was in my class was dancing since they were toddlers. My first day of dance was pretty nerve racking. My teacher would say to do something and i wouldn't know what to do because i didn't know any dance vocabulary. I would have to look around and try to fit in as much as possible so my teacher wouldn't think i wasn't fit for the class.
