Youths should not be banned from participating in sports such as dodgeball, cheerleading, and football. To begin with, dodgeball teaches physical and mental education. According to the text, ”Rick Hanetho, founder of National Amatuer Dodgeball Association said,” It teaches hand-eye coordination, concentration, and to draw quick conclusions” (171). This proves that youths shouldn’t be banned from dodgeball since it teaches them at a young age and it teaches mental and physical lessons. As for cheerleading, youths shouldn’t be banned because the coaches are trained and certified.
Dalton Burke ELA Ryan 5/4/23 Dodgeball should not get banned in schools. Whenever people play dodgeball they always have a smile on their face.
Book Banning I think that the root problem with the book banning/burning was the level of maturity in the certain individuals affected. Both of these books were not made for children. I think the people in charge that banned Mr Vonnegurt’s book could have done better with their solution and the people at the Biloxi school came up with an adequate solution to the problem. An example is the book by Kurt Vonnegut, but they were still taught in the classroom.

OUCH! I strongly disagree. Recently school principals banned dodge ball at schools in Elk ton, Maryland. They banned it because the teachers thought it was violent and inappropriate. The principals banned it by taking it off the curriculum.
DodgeBall Across all of Elkton Maryland, recently some troubled Principals are banning the famous and fun game of...dodgeball. Dodgeball, and all of its relatives, like Slaughter and JailBreak, because they are “against everything we teach here” or that it was “inappropriate”. In a 2015 article, “Pros and Cons of Co-Ed games and mixed team sports,” Etienne explains that, “Players behave more responsibly when they play with or against the opposite sex. Most Co-ed leagues are recreational and it obliges stronger players to be less aggressive than when playing with players of the same sex.” Therefore, combining sexes is crucial. This is important because providing combined teams will assist participants with learning and achieving what is meant for physical activity.

Summary “Children Need to Play, Not Compete,” by Jessica Statsky is a thoughtful insight on the competitive sports for children. The question which I have decided to encounter is ‘Who gets to be Human? According to Calvin Thomas’s Lesson One, he states that ‘the world must be made to mean’ (27,Thomas), bringing about the concept of human reality. You would think that being a human should not be questioned and that the idea of being a human comes commonly. I agreed with this perception until I began to explore the fictional text of Never Let me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro, and it led me to believe that human reality cannot be taken naturally. We are brought into this world with help and guidance from those around us.
Bullying in Schools What seems fun and harmless for some students, is painful and degrading to others. Bullying has been a critical issue around schools, but before it was not as dangerous and know as it is now.
