Baseball is and always will be America 's pastime. It exhibits what it entirely means to be an American through everything baseball has done for our nation as a whole. Baseball was first invented in the 18th-19th century. It was a variation of another sport being played at the time called "town-ball". Baseball evolved from various sports but mostly borrowed from Town-ball, a game that at the time was one of the most played games of all
The MLB has discussed if they should expand the thirty teams in the league to thirty-two teams in recent years. This makes room for two cities to acquire a team to bring their city a new, exciting way to enjoy a night out in their city. Many cities have been fighting for one of these two spots, but one sticks out more than the rest. If the MLB wants to expand and have a successful franchise in a new city they need to view Charlotte as a strong candidate for many reasons, like the rapid growth of the city and the minor league success. Rob Manfred, the commissioner of the MLB, has even stated that he has looked at Charlotte as a strong possibility.
At the end of my presentation, the audience will be able to explain the reasoning why the Little League World Series makes kids strive to succeed in the sport of baseball. So, I wrote this speech a little while ago so bear with me, four score and seven years……. oh I apologize that’s the wrong speech. So for starters….(start into Relevancy Statement). My topic is relevant to you because if you have kids or want to have kids you should get them involved in sports, my presentation specifically supports why they should play baseball or softball.

Anyone who’s seen any sports game with a team uniform would know that the team name is located on the top of the front side of the jersey and the player’s last name goes on the top of the backside of the jersey. So, the quote means play for your team and not for yourself.

Baseball can be extremely boring at times because there are rarely any great plays made and for the most part it is not very action packed. Baseball does not have much physical contact which most people enjoy in today’s society, this also drives people away to a contact sport. Baseball has been my whole life since I old enough to remember I have been around big leaguers since the day I was born, my dad played pro ball, I have had over 13 cousins play major league baseball, and over 20+ family members play minor baseball. People think sports are just sports, but in reality to athletes it’s an escape from life, it’s our second family, and most important we feel like we belong there. Every four years we get the world's greatest athletes in one place to compete for dominance of their respective sport. Many try, many fail, and there is only one person or persons that sit atop of the podium in ultimate victory. One sport that has been particularly dominated by Team USA, is basketball. If you are a sports fan and specifically a basketball fan, you have to be excited about USA Basketball. If you are not excited, I understand why.
