Batmobile Research Paper

The Batmobile is a very unique car that has gadgets on it. Well in the 1964, the Batmobile had a nose-mounted chain slicer, lasers, rockets, an on-board telephone, radar, dash monitor, on-board computer, and police beacon (Digg). In the rear end of the Batmobile, it has parachutes so it can slow down faster, a compartment to drop nails on the road so it may flatten the enemy tires, and a smoke emitter so Batman may escape without being seen. In 2016, the Batmobile has the same gadgets but now it has more armor. It is a different than the 1960’s Batmobile (Stalkton). The Batmobile has added guns to the side of the car, traveling research files, fire extinguishers, and tools for climbing up, portable med kit, dashboard radar and many more. The

The Batmobile took a total of three weeks to be built. It was designed by George Barris with Gale Balck, Bill Cushenbery, Richard Korkes, Les Tompkins and Roy Johnson (Stalkton). The car was a 1955 Lincoln Futura concept car. George Barris bought this car for one dollar on December 21, 1965. The approximate value in 1966 is $125,000. Batman was aired on January 12, 1966 but the Batmobile was never displayed until February 3, 1966 (LaSane). Once the show was a very popular, it was then created into a movie which had used the same car on August 3, 1966. The original requirements for the Batmobile was to have a mobile phone in the car, a warning bell and flashing lights, a turn off switch for protection systems, an anti-fire control system that shot out foam from a secret nozzle, and have the Batman logo all around the car including hub caps, the doors, and the hood of the car. The Batmobile has a bulletproof windshield and the trunk can fit about eight people inside of it (Digg). The war machine was the next Batmobile. It was created in 1986 and was the first ever Batmobile to go full-tank (Digg). This Batmobile has heavy artillery and rubber bullets. This impenetrable armor would be able to take damage. It can be shot at and will still be able to keep going. Inside the tank, there is an extensive medical bay (LaSane). It was in a movie, The Dark Night Returns
