The Battle of the Bulge
The Battle of the Bulge is by far one of the most intense battles of World War II record-ed in our history. This battle took place in December 1944 as Adolph Hitler attempted to split the allied armies in the northwest region of Europe by executing a series of multiple complex attacks through Ardennes ("Battle of the Bulge," 2017, p. 1). In the midst of these attacks, the US forc-es were caught off guard. Therefore, fighting the Germans in desperate measures in efforts to stem the German advancement into Sat-Vith, Elsenborne Ridge, Houffalize, and Bastogne. In today’s paper the writer is going to discuss the serious of events on how the battle started, what was some measures taken by the US Armed forces in efforts to win the battle, and how artillery was utilized as a key piece in order to win the war.
