The first time I heard about Palm Beach Atlantic University, was about a year ago. The excitement I had was unbearable, because I just knew that in my heart that this was the school for me. I decided to do my own research and I went online on the school‘s website and the information that I found greatly increased my interest in the university. I was born in a tiny Island called Haiti, I remember going to church as a little girl three times a week in Haiti. In 1996, when we migrated to the States, my parents kept the same parenting style; therefore I was raised in a strict Christian household. Growing up in a Christian household, provided me the opportunity to not only to have faith but to also live by faith. In high school, I joined the Medical Program at Boca High, although it was just a small some of us, I felt as I belonged, as if we were a family. One of my primary goals at Palm Beach Atlantic is to find that same attachment that I had back in high school with the Medical program; this would be ten times more extraordinary because, I would be with the family of God. To continue, since high school, I knew that the medical field was something that I wanted to put my full focus on, no matter how many hurdles there were to jump. My goal is to acquire what I need to study there and at the same time strive to become a better individual with a restored spiritual life. In high school, my passion for nursing started to develop, not just the idea of being a nurse but what nurses do in general.
