According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, jobs within the veterinary field are increasing faster than the rate of increase for other jobs. Jobs for veterinarians and veterinary technicians are projected to increase by 16 percent from 2019 through 2029. This is faster than the projected average increase for all other occupations ("Veterinarian Vs. Vet Tech").
Trying to decide what career or job choice you want for your future is a tough decision to make. One day you might want to become a nurse, and the next day, you will want to become a veterinary technician. This is the situation that I went through in the past year, and all I can say is that going to school to become a veterinary technician was the best decision I have ever made regarding my future. I am excited and more ambitious toward my career than I ever have been, and I’m here to tell you why becoming a veterinary technician is an amazing choice to make!
Hughes Essay Langston Hughes, wrote “Refugee in America”, “I, Too”, and “The Negro Speaks of Rivers”. Hughes lived from February 1, 1902 – May 22, 1967 and was an American poet, social activist, novelist, playwright, and columnist from Joplin, Missouri. There are many areas available to a veterinarian technician such as working in research laboratories, zoo research as well as in wildlife.
That is why I would love to work with animals who cannot be a pet to someone. Being able to help non domesticated animals and not suffer from a broken heart would be a dream. For my job I would like to be a Humane Law Enforcement/Animal Control Officer. I would like to help animals that are in need of my help. I want to provide effective means for the prevention of cruelty to animals throughout the United States. The officers inspect kennels, pet shops, stables and other places where animals are kept to make sure that animal welfare regulations are being followed. The officers respond to and investigate reports of animal cruelty.
I want to become a Veterinary Tech because I love animals and I love taking care of them. I’m a people person and I enjoy working with the public. Recently, I moved into a neighborhood with a lot of elderly neighbors; I started helping them take care of their dogs. I would get up in the morning and walk their dogs before I left for school.
