Behind the Eyes of a Persuasive Seeker Presidential campaign advertisements seem to attract audiences with different political ideals. On Jeb2016.com, Jeb Bush has placed an ad where he attempts to convince an audience of military members, and younger voters that Bush is the safer candidate, stronger, and more able. Bush’s ad hit home with two audiences in one ad, using patriotic words to send positive messages that Bush is good for young people but more importantly for the military. The ad conveys positive support for military members and includes many young military males, who express positive facial and body language towards the candidate. The layout is appealing to the southern voter, while engaging and or persuading the intended audience that Bush is a strong leader. As for American politician’s, print ads have never been more patriotic. In Bush’s ad “Join us to restore a safer, stronger, freer America.” the use of these words can be perceived as a positive notion to persuade the audience while giving purpose to Jeb Bush’s presidency. As stated in the text “join us” is implying that Bush is referring to himself and the troops inside the ad. Bush’s current ideas to increase military spending would entail Bush to use military background to justify the belief that military has kept our country safe, free, and strong.
