‘Benito Cereno’ is written in three section; the first section is written in the limited third person from the point of view of Captain Delano, the second section is a deposition given in court from the perspective of Benito Cereno, and the third is written in omniscient perspective. Each section’s narrator is an important part of the story. Most of the story’s narration relies upon Amasa Delano’s limited perspective.
