After months of investigators not finding anything on the murder of Ronda; the young women killed at the local laundromat. They had decided to arrest Walter based off Ralph Myers word. The “Waters Of Babylon” is an optimistic story. The story revolves around the protagonist John as he makes his way to the forbidden “Place of the Gods”. Once in the Place of the Gods he realizes that this place was not inhabited by Gods but instead by humans (page 8). Each work shows how the relationship bet ween the gods and the humans work. In the Indian culture the gods is someone who can show the people the way but in the Hebrew culture their god test the loyalty of the humans. In both cultures from the works the people will seek their gods for guidance and wisdom but the outcomes are not the same in both places. There are similarities and differences between how the relationships between people and the gods work in the different cultures. Each work the main character has a problem that is troubling the throughout each work.

Throughout the entire history of the earth, mankind has advanced from nomadic hunters and gatherers into the civilized people they are today. One region that played a profound impact on this development is Mesopotamia, the birthplace of civilization. Gilgamesh: A Verse Narrative, a literary work from the time period, reveals many things about the society that created it. The narrative recounts the tale of the first great hero of ancient Mesopotamia and through his encounters, the culture, religion and the Sumerians way of life is demonstrated.
On the fifth day God created the birds, fish and other sea creatures. The beginning of chapter two of Genesis wraps up chapter one, explaining that on the sixth day God created the rest of the land, animals, and made humans in his own image. And on the seventh day, God ceased from work and rested, and blessed that day. Later in chapter two it begins to explain creation in the garden. It is explained that before any living thing had touched the earth, God created a stream that watered the land and from the soil of the land he created the first human.

We turn to the bible and the Qur’anic story of creation to rely on their myths of how humanity was created. In religions such as Christianity, they rely on stories of the bible to show them where life began. For a Jew, their story comes from the larger story of God’s covenant with Israel. For Buddhism, they turn toward the plentiful works on discourses of the Buddha and the collection of texts, Tripitaka.

Stories have been passed down from generation to generation since the beginning of time. However, most facts in the stories change over time. In the following essay, the two stories being discussed have surprisingly remained the same. The Epic of Gilgamesh and the Biblical account of the Flood in Genesis (the two stories being discussed) are two stories that have differences in their storyline facts, but similarities, also, in their storyline facts and reason behind why each one happened.

In the Content Section, the main ideas depicted are friendship, death, and anger of gods (10). For instance, it is represented that Gilgamesh and Engidu become comrades after their wresting. This is an indication that good friendship existed among rivals during those ancient days within the entire society (10). The narrator also explains the anger of god’s that exist in the community. For example, gods were very angry at Gilgamesh with his friend Engidu because they killed “the king of the bull-of-heaven” (10).
