The book of Genesis is called Bereshit in the Hebrew, after the word Bible, signifying before all else. It recalls the start of the world and formation of individuals and of those acclaimed as the predecessors of the Hebrew individuals, while under the molding activity and motivation behind God. The book falls into two fundamental parts; managing the antiquated history and managing the patriarchal accounts; the last segment is again detachable into the tale of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and the tale of Joseph.
