This document belongs to the information period of United States history. This period was important to the U.S, because it was the beginning toward people from various parts of the world being able to keep connected with one another. This period in history bought the computer the internet. The internet is what enabled not only different people to stay connected with one another but it also enabled research to be done quicker. Before there would have to be books used to find information but with the use of the internet searches were able to be redirected into faster answers. This act is not limited to only the disability to walk but it is towards all types of disabilities including those people who are blind and also those who cannot hear at all or have trouble hearing are included in the act as well. To be much clearer the definition used to create this act was a physical and/or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more of the major life activities of the individual. Thus employment for this part of the population was very hard. What this act implemented was that there should be the same opportunities in the workplace for people with disabilities as well. This however was supposed to have already been covered by the Civil Rights Act of 1964. One of the problems faced with the addition of having disabled people in the workplace would be that there would be a lot of potential risks not only to that person but as well as to the rest of the workers if someone disabled would have a job in a specific area of work. Therefore, there would have to be some small things worked out such giving people with disabilities part-time or having to modify the equipment used in the workplace. The people with disabilities that would want to apply for a specific job would have to show that in the job their disability would ultimately slow down or cause an extreme downfall in the business in order to not be considered at least to obtain the job. However, afterwards every employee with or without disabilities will have to go through an entrance exam once they have already been moved to the maybe pile. The act will disapprove of the employer to ask questions on the disability unless and only unless their disability might pose as a future downfall in the business. For the sum of the hiring process this will not interfere if the company
