Bernie Sanders a “democratic socialist”, according to the New york times, a socialist is one advocating in a democratic political system alongside a economy in a socialist environment, having the involvement of several democratic influence in the political decisions. Bernie Sanders believes the both the economy and society should be able to meet the public needs and also run an efficient economy. Democratic socialism will fail to succeed in the United States social democracy promotes totaliarnism thereby undermining freedom and liberty, unlike capitalism proves to become efficient and creates incentive in the working class to succeed.

According to an estimate by The Wall Street Journal, Sanders' spending plans would cost $18 trillion over 10 years, increasing the federal government's size by roughly a third. By creating a health care plan, make public universities free, expand Social Security, spend big on infrastructure, and the free child care programs alongside increasing minimum wage (USA Today). Where will all the money for all these government based benefits come from. If Sanders plan involves trillions, the tax payers will increase. Sanders beliefs on the socialist economy is influenced on the European economy , he often mentions the working class in Scandinavia. Although he fails to mention the major increase the tax payers have to pay in contrary to United States, average Americans 30-35% of taxes when the Scandinavians pay more than 45% of taxes. Meaning even though they work the same amount of hours like Americans more after paying their utilities they are left with less than half of their income for them to survive throughout the month. Sanders only mentions the benefits of becoming a social democracy which include the free university and “entitled health care” (USA Today), he fails to mention he rewards the those who do less work and undermines the work ethic of the working class. Benefiting all those “entitled” would mean; when though you don’t work hard enough you’re still being paid the same amount as the person working harder than you. Seems unfair not being able to succeed in the working class. Which leads to the question , “Will Sanders undermine ones ability to succeed and create an entrepreneurship ?” Socialism like communism, socialism seeks to redistribute the wealth by the ownership of natural resources and major industries, such as banking and public utilities.
