Disagreements brought among two can greatly cause an uncertain effect on those surrounded by them, as well as each other. Innocent minded children are targeted to be easily influenced. That is until that child starts becoming experienced and learns to lead his own path perpetually discovering his autonomy. Gabriel and Maria, a dissimilar couple introduced from Rudolfo Anaya’s “Bless Me, Ultima”, presents a conflicting environment on those having to deal with their differing ideal beliefs. Maria, a Luna, daughter of a farmer, peaceful and quiet like the moon.
Every once in awhile a horrible situation occurs expecting the worst to happen when in reality something good comes out of it, such as the events in the Walls family in the Glass Castle by author Jeannette Walls. An event that would of turned terrible but went another direction was when Rex and Rose couldn’t buy christmas gifts for the kids (pg.39). During that period the Walls were pretty poor and couldn’t afford to get each other gifts during the holiday’s. The result of this could 've ended in sadness and disappointment, but to spare that Rose and Rex told the kids the truth where Santa wasn’t real. Telling the kids that Santa wasn’t real made them feel apart of a secret other kids didn’t know, which made them feel special.

Lively is able to capture the sibling rivalry between Gordon and Claudia, along with the response of the mother by employing the use of diction and imagery. Lively use extensive diction to developed the passage and reinforce her theme about the violence and self-centeredness in the world. Lively used words and phrases like, “searching furiously”, “hunting”, and “rivalry”, to show reader the intense and very important task of searching for fossils.
Their characteristics of their actions and words show the relationship that these people have within their families. And it was not a caring-and-love one family relationship. They let their tradition tear family apart, which they can stop if they are willing to do it. Throughout reading this short story, it informs the audiences that each individual character in this story have similar characteristics--loneliness-- except children, who does not fully understand family bonds. In the fairy tale “Hansel and Gretel,” the Grimm brothers illustrate how children need parental guidance to provide protection, because, without it, they often suffer negative consequences. The story starts off by portraying two young children that were left in the woods by their stepmother and father because they cannot provide for them: “Night fell but the woodcutter did not return. Gretel began to sob bitterly. Hansel too felt scared but he tried to hide his feelings and comfort for his sister”(Grimm and Grimm). The two kids feel scared and in need of their father, although Hansel cared for his sister to make her feel less frightened.
