Many First Ladies devote their time to important causes while living in the White House; Lady Bird Johnson’s cause was the beautification of Washington.

Today is the day for the most fascinating, out of this world adventure, at Dollywood! Our class had an option of choosing our yearly class trip destination, and of course it was Dollywood! Dollywood is a place full of adventure, wonder, and magic! It has everything a girl could dream of it includes: roller coasters, food, animal descriptions, and an area of cognitive-content from years ago. Honestly, to tell you the truth, I had to persuade the class to pick Dollywood, but I knew it would be completely worth it.
Thousands of women have screamed at the top of their lungs, clawed at the patriarchy, and tirelessly fought for their rights as citizens of the United States of America. From the beginning of mankind, women have been labeled as inferior to men not only physically, but mentally and intellectually as well. Only in 1920 did women gain the right to voice their opinions in government elections while wealthy white men received the expected right since the creation of the United States. A pioneer in women’s suffrage, Susan B. Anthony publicly spoke out against this hypocrisy in a time when women were only seen as child bearers and household keepers. Using the United State’s very own Constitution and Declaration as ammunition, Anthony wrote countless

Over the past four decades, the increase of black women in politics has continued to grow. Social media has arguably played a part in increasing their likelihood with millenials. The modern state of America has urged those in politics to truly step-up and take a stand and that’s exactly what these women have been doing. Being a voice, evoking change and challenging the ideas of others.
Rory Housh Professor Blume Classics 321 May 09, 2023 Witchcraft and Medicine in Ancient Greece/Rome and Early Modern Spain The question that we aimed to answer with this research project was, in what ways were women excluded from the field of medicine in Ancient Greece and Rome and how does that connect to the persecution of female healers and the idea of witchcraft in Early Modern Spain? In Ancient Greece and Rome, midwives - particularly those of lower social status - were initially regarded with suspicion, while in Early Modern Spain they were accused of witchcraft due to their gender. Although both eras saw medicine practiced within religious contexts, the Catholic Church disapproved of female practitioners in Early Modern Spain. Because
If I’m here on TV in front of millions of american adults, it means I have something really important to tell you. Did you ever say, implicitly or explicitly, that the lyrics of African-American songs are inappropriate, especially those of rappers such as N.W.A? Statistics say that 90 percent of our population have, and most of the time it was explicitly in front of black people. Now, did you ask yourself why is the language of African-Americans inappropriate? Statistics say that 70 percent of the american population doesn’t know the reason and thinks that because we are born black, we should be bad.
To when is enough enough? This is the question of a lot of black people today in America. When is there going to not be an unarmed black man killed by the police? When is this “war on drugs” going to stop? When is enough enough?
America, we are gathered here today as one united power, to work on a better future and reflect on our past. 7 score and 12 years ago, the black man was said to be “free”, this week we celebrate our new president Barack Obama. I am proud to say the least, not only has our magnificent nation made a lot of progress on civil rights and racial equality, but on such an anniversary we find ourselves at the second inauguration of our first African American President. As a nation, we have taken crucial steps towards freedom; more blacks have opportunities to succeed, blacks who have received an education have been able to translate that education into opportunities for themselves and their families, there is a vibrant black middle class that mirrors
I 'm very happy to be able to do that to women around the world." (6). This is one of the several lessons Beyonce provides to society in order to empower women and have them join Beyonce in bringing awareness to this issue. Sexism and stereotypes are not just a problem people today have been dealing with in society, but it has been a major, ongoing controversy forever.
Many women still don 't understand the hidden power that they have. “As we learn more and more to cherish our feelings, and to respect those hidden sources of power, true knowledge and lasting action follow” (Lorde, 1982, pg. 281). Beyoncé is a great example of how she was able to use her voice and really promote feminism.
There are many advantages and disadvantages of living in both Canada or New France. Though personally, I would prefer living in present day Canada for the below reasons. Canada has a diverse nation of different people, we are exposed to different religions and cultures which allows us to learn more about other ethical backgrounds. Where as, New France was made up of people only people from France and the Native tribes and it stayed that way for hundreds of years. Also we have a strong economy and relationships with many different countries, so we don’t engage in war with other nations.
