How One Bible Study Changed Me (names are changed) I never thought that going to my church group’s Bible study would do anything huge for me, even though the topic was intriguing. It was about convictions and that was something I really wanted to learn about. He held out his arms. I nodded and, sobbing, rushed into his embrace. He rubbed his hand on my back, but only in the affection of friends, not in inappropriate touch. At that moment I knew that he cared. I could only imagine what was going through Tyon’s mind as he watched the scene unfold. When I stepped away, neither I nor Asher showed any signs of discomfort.
