Big Sun Scholarship Playing soccer throughout high school,made my life a roller coaster without soccer i wouldn’t have the stabilization i have today. Participated in soccer had a huge impacted on my family and myself , it created a lot of happy, joyful memories, but also created a lot of conflict and struggle between us. With everything we been through my family and myself are beyond sure everything we been through is going to be worth it at the end of the journey. At the age of 10 years old I started playing soccer. Since then I have not stopped. I am so glad i did not stop, because if I have stopped i would not of experience the journey i got to experience, nor would I be the person I am today. Playing soccer changed the way how viewed school, treated my parents, and my attitude. Soccer made me realize how important school was. It made me want to do be an Honor Roll student in school so i can play in the next level. It help me with school it also helped me value my parents a lot more and respect them a lot more so they could take me to practice and games. It impacted my parents life as well. All the struggle we went through so i could play soccer, my parents are happy i stuck with it up till now, and hopefully next year as well. For me to compete at the highest level took a lot from my parents from my dad having to work extra hours so he could afford to let me play and to be able to go to my out of state away games. To my mom having to drive me without a license, she was forced to lose her fear to drive and get her driver's license so she could take me to practice. Back to both parents worrying, stressing, having to stay up every night so they could watch me came back home safe and sound.
