The Big6 Information Problem Solving model is a model proposed by Michael Eisenberg and Robert Berkowitz. This model focuses on how individuals of all ages applies critical thinking and solve information problems. This 6 steps process was created to aid students through information problem solving. The first stage is task definition. In this step, the student decides precisely what the information problem is and the detailed data associated to the problem. \ The second stage is the Information Seeking Strategies. In this step, once the problem is obviously addressed, the focus is placing emphasis on the collection of likely information sources. This step involves decision making and choosing materials suitable for the described assignment.
