“Not the glittering weapon fights the fight, but rather the hero's heart.” - Proverb. In the book The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien, Bilbo Baggins enjoys a nice, easy, comfortable life in his hobbit hole. His peace is vanquished however, when the wizard Gandalf and his accompanying dwarves whisk him away on an adventure to the lonely mountains. Bilbo Baggins becomes a hero for three reasons: he risked his life for the dwarves, he gained qualities of being a hero, and he always tried to do what is right.
The first reason Bilbo Baggins is a hero is because he risked his life for the dwarves. Bilbo did not have to travel on a dangerous adventure to help people he barely knew. He could have said no and stayed in his peaceful hobbit hole, but he decided
