A Cal Poly Pomona alumnus with a long career in local law enforcement has been selected as the university’s next chief of police. Dario Robinson, a lieutenant with the San Bernardino Police Department, will take over as head of University Police on Jan. 25. Robinson’s selection as University Police chief returns him to the campus where he competed on the track team and earned a bachelor’s degree in behavioral studies upon graduating in 1991. “I look forward to once again being part of the Cal Poly Pomona family, and to being a member of your public safety community,” Robinson says.
Motlow State Community College does not offer a cafeteria for students at the Smyrna Center. Constructing a cafeteria at Motlow State Community College would be beneficial for everyone, including the staff and students. A cafeteria would offer convenience for students and staff, increase the attendance rate, and allow students to engage in social interactions with one another. Not only is cafeteria favorable for the Motlow State community, but it would multiply the revenue for the school. Predominantly, constructing a cafeteria will improve the Smyrna campus as a whole.

Good Afternoon Mike, I was told to contact you regarding Santa Fe College transferring in credits that I obtained for ACE credits. After speaking to Mary Thames in Health Services Department as well as Jackie (lead transcript evaluator) I was informed this morning that the college will not accept my credits because they were not obtained from a regionally accredited college. I am so incredibly saddened and disappointed with this news. It 's truly like ripping the floor right out from underneath me.

Journal Log # 7 Working as an intern over the past few weeks has been rewarding but also draining. Today, I had the pleasure of meeting with Mr.Colaio at Bronxwood Prepatory Academy. Mr. Colaio observed a counseling session conducted by myself and a bright 10th grade student who has the potential to pass, but unfortunately she is failing. I will briefly discuss the background of the student I met with. This student also has an IEP, and is dealing with serious emotional disturbance.
The mission of Northland College opens up a new door of possibilities to me in ways that will help me achieve my personal career goals. I can get a well rounded education through the liberal arts, and I can also focus on what I care about the most- the environment and natural resources. There are few colleges that offer me this opportunity, especially in Wisconsin.
Today we learned about lesson planning. I have written many lesson plans in undergraduate at Sweet Briar College, but Randolph College has a different format so I needed help. A group of students who were familiar with the format taught the rest of the class about lesson planning. We were also able to ask them questions which was very helpful. I made the decision that I would still need two lesson plans.
