Demjanjuk was a retired automobile worker who was deported to Germany so that he can face trial. He was considered on the account of helping run the gas chambers and was also responsible for killing over 28,000 people. As the article states “Demjanjuk was an accessory to murder.” His family believed otherwise, because they contended that he was a victim of mistaken identity. Demjanjuk family consisted of his kids, Lydia Demjanjuk, John Demjanjuk Jr, Irene Demjanjuk and his spouse Vera Demjanjuk. Matter- It matters because 28,000 people died in a death camp that affected 28,000 families. Not only did it affect 28,000 families, it also affected his family as well. His family lost a father and a husband. If Demjanjuk would’ve never committed these crimes against people, he could’ve been a good man. The families as well as his would have never lost their love ones. Also if he was a good man he would’ve never needed to fight to gain his citizenship from the U.S. Step Three: AoW Activity List I noticed that Demjanjuk had a record of being tried. Multiple sources prove that JOhn was a guilty man. I’d like to know why the U.S. kept giving him his citizenship when they had information on him. Doesn’t this make wonder about the government in the U.S. What interested me the most was, if he was a guard how he managed to get away with all of the things he’s done. He also has two types of crimes against him and that is giveaway meaning he had a bad past
