An individuals genetic makeup (biology), mental health and behavior (psychology), and sociocultural environment (social world) control the development of the individuals health-related outcomes. When an individuals nutritional needs are not met, the biopsychosocial approach helps to make sense of how biological, psychological and social factors are all factors in ones health. Inadequate nutrients are affecting the individuals whom are living below the poverty lines physical health and functioning,when children are among the family inadequate nutrition could be affecting a child's growth and physical development greatly.
