For my Biome Essay I choose rainforest. By me doing this project I hope you learn something as I hope I will learn something about rainforest’s too.
Rain forest are all over America, Southeast Asia, Africa and Australia. The Rain Forest is mostly found in the Amazon in South America. The tropical rainforest biome is an ecosystem that covers about 7% of the Earth's surface. Tropical rainforests produce 40% of Earth's oxygen. They are found all over the world but the majority of rainforests are found in South America in Brazil.

The level of rainfall depends on the time of year. In an average year in a rain forest, the climate is very humid because of all the rain, which amounts to about 250 cm per year. The rain forest has lots of rain because it is very hot and wet. Most rainforest soils relatively poor in nutrients. years of weathering have washed most of the nutrients out of the soil.
Rainforests are the Earth's oldest living ecosystems. Scientists estimate that more than half of all the world's plant and animal species live in tropical rain forests. Like all other ecosystems, the food chains in the rain forest have 5 different parts. These five parts consists of producers, tertiary consumers, secondary consumers, priamry consumers, and decomposers. These five parts are what keeps a ecosystem a ecosystem.
By doing this essay I have learned alot. Like how Rainforests cover around 7 percent the total surface area of the Earth, but really about 50 percent of the plants and animals on the earth live in the rainforest. Or how Rainforests are found on all of the different continents, except for Antarctica because it is far too cold there. Or how Rainforests help to regulate the temperatures around the world. But, these are just a few facts if you would like too learn more i definitly recommend learning about the rain forest biome
