Ted Bundy is one of the most known serial killers in the United States. Ted uses his charismatic face and charm to lure his victims in. One reason Ted Bundy never got caught was because he did not fit the profile. He was not the typical face when someone thinks of a serial killer. Ted was eventually executed by an electric chair. Was justice served or not? Theodore Robert Bundy, also known as Ted Bundy, was born November 24, 1946, in Burlington, Vermont. He had a very old childhood. She escaped and reported him to the police (Ott). On January 12, 1975, he killed Caryn Campbell in Colorado, her body was found weeks later. In August of that year Bundy was questioned due to having suspicious items in his car but was released after that. October 2, 1975 Bundy was finally arrested after DaRonch and more victims pointed him out in the police lineup (Ott). He would act vulnerable in order to gain sympathy from his victims. After five months Bundy was found guilty and sent to prison for one to five years. Bundy was convicted of first degree murder of Campbell, after police found Campbell's hair in his car. He was sent to Colorado for the trail. In June of 1977, Bundy escaped after being allowed at a library, but was found six days later. The victims were forgotten in the midst of this case. TV and newspapers wrote and talked about, everyone at that time knew who he was. People starting to idolize him and what he did. It caused people to think that maybe if they committed the same crime, then they would get the same attention. Lastly, it is arguable that all the crimes he committed were due to his undiagnosed mental disorder. Growing up Bundy was never known to suffer from any kind of mental disorder. He himself did not realize that he had one. During the trial Bundy was diagnosed with having psychopath personality. This disorder was never treated, so it plays a role in his life. He was diagnosed with pyscopath, which untreated can really affect the life of that person. Babiak, one of the author of The Corporate Psychopath, describes psychopaths as intelligent, calculated people, they are very aware of their surroundings and blend in with people. This disorder affects the person's brains which causes the person to lack emotion. Emotions are something that is important to us.
