TED BUNDY On January 15, 1978 Lisa Levy and Martha Bowmen were taken from their rooms and murdered. Usually, Ted was careful when making sure nothing was left at the crime scene. No fingerprints were found because they were wiped clean. Bundy also took his weapon leaving the investigators with a blood type, smudged prints, and sperm all were not conclusive.
He would then leave the naked deceased body in a wooded area, mostly Taylor Mountain in Washington State, where many of his victims were found. Along with countless other suspects he was questioned by the police but he initially came out clean because he just didn't seem to 'fit the mold' of a maniacal serial killer. Bundy then went to law school at Salt Lake City, Utah where he murdered a police chief's daughter on October 21, 1974. Van Lupardi 10/3 Criminal Justice I chose Ted Bundy as my choice of serial killer. Theodore “Ted” Bundy was an American serial killer, rapist, and necrophilia. He was born in Burlington Vermont in the year 1946, November 24. However, his mother was ashamed to have him because she was not married and her parents were overly religious. This lead to his mother to take him to Philadelphia to her parents but introduced Ted as an adopted child of his grandparents.
At only three years of age he once slipping knives under the covers of his fifteen year old aunt Julia’s covers, who claimed that when caught “he just stood there and smiled. ”(outlaws mobsters and crooks) Fortunately for Bundy his time at his grandparent’s only lasted four years, as a great aunt of his helped his mother to relocate them to his uncle Jack’s home in Tacoma, Washington. Shortly after the move Louise married a local cook by the name of John Bundy. John then adopted the young Ted giving him the monicker that would one day become infamous.

Ted met several other women before he started his murders and kidnappings. In May 1970 Bundy started working for the medical supply company, driving a delivery truck. He began stealing again and got caught taking a photo from a doctor's office and he even started stealing from his boss too. He would later on use those supplies he stole like crutches and containers of plaster casting material to lure the ladies into thinking he was physically impaired and needed their help. In the summer of 1971, Ted started a new job working for the Seattle Crisis Clinical Call Center.
In fact, Bundy wasn’t extremely intelligent, and was not a genius, he only had an IQ of about 124, and he was not wildly successful in school, he was an average student who actually failed out of college after being dumped by a girlfriend, though he did return to school at a later date and finish (Michaud & Aynesworth, 2000). Even so, there was something that everyone could agree upon, Theodore Bundy was a deranged sociopath who became famous for murdering all of his victims, he was one of the serial killers to become extremely famous because of his killings, and some would say that he seemed happy to be getting all of the recognition (Michaud & Aynesworth, 2000). With articles written about him titled, “Bundy: The Man, The Myth, The Legend” he had truly become a legend (Caputi, 1989). People have trouble understanding why and how people become who they are. Ted Bundy was a psychopath that killed many, but no one knows why. What people wonder though is why did he commit these crimes? What made him like the way he was?

Bundy is known for his charm and intelligence, but also for his deceitful nature. He has this charismatic charm, drawing significant attention (Jenkins 1). His friends and family had no clue either because he was so good at hiding the bodies and not acting suspicious in front of people. His erotic satisfaction pushed him to continue even after being caught. The sight of the bodies, the actions and things he could do with them and the enjoyment he got from murdering his victims and having their bodies is another main reason why Ted Bundy is the worst serial
In the late 20th century, Ted Bundy was born Theodore Robert Cowell, he was an American serial killer, rapist, and most notorious criminal. It was said that his charm and intelligence made him somewhat of a celebrity during his trial. He raped and murdered several young women in Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Utah, and Florida between 1974 and 1978.
