Automotive Service Repair Technician The career I chose for this particular research paper, that really does not have any paper involved, is a career as an Automotive Service Technician. The reason behind my fabulous choice is that I will be able to help my friends and family with their automotive problems. I feel that this career best suits me because my family is full of some type of mechanic, in one way or another. It also allows me to contribute to, not only my family , but also to the community. One of the biggest advantages is that I will have the knowledge and the ability to fix my own vehicles, thus saving me from financial troubles due to so called “car troubles.”

I have always enjoyed children and working with them but once I understood that there was a career that could enable me to improve a child’s life I was set on becoming an Occupational Therapist. I knew I could assist and change the lives of children that have been told they could not succeed nor live life to their fullest potential. Regardless of the struggles these children are facing, they are capable of a multiple of tasks for success. This is the work of an OT to capitalize on their strengths, to allow them to be the absolute best child (and then adult) that they can be. There is nothing more effective to preserve the future of our world and mankind than to nourish each child.
When people think of EMTs (emergency medical technicians), they often picture brave and selfless individuals rushing to the scene of an accident or medical emergency to life-saving care to those in need. EMTs go through many hard aspects when trying to protect their patients. Most EMTs have to jump through hoops while they are under pressure and trying to shield their patients from danger.

At this point in my life, I had no clue what I wanted to do for my career and thought this would be the best option and give me the most diversity of career options. Going into my sophomore year, I began a job in the emergency department at the hospital located in the college town. During my first day, I got to see a variety of emergent and non-emergent medical procedures.
There are two engineering careers that interest me, biomedical or civil engineering. I know they may seem completely different, but due to the fact I take some classes in the engineering field, and some in the medical field, I still have not decided which way to go. A biomedical engineer creates equipment, devices, computer systems, and software used in healthcare, while a civil engineer designs, builds and supervises construction projects such as bridges, buildings, airports, and many more. A biomedical engineer focuses a lot on bringing knowledge to create, design and evaluate biomedical equipment.
