Many times teenagers are given false information from their peers or older family members can affect them sexually. One common misconception is one can not get STD’s through things such as oral sex or merely from just touching a person in their infected area, but this is not true. One can get any form of STD through contact with an infected person through oral sex, open cuts, touching an infected area, and even contact with blood. Many people think by wearing a condom or using birth control they are safe from all diseases or pregnancy, but this is also not always the case.
