You Can’t Teach an Old Dog New Tricks Tim Johnson was a recognizable dog in Maycomb County, Alabama. Tim Johnson was regarded as “The pet of Maycomb county”(105). This title is very interesting. This means Tim Johnson is the mascot for the people of Maycomb. Tim Johnson’s owner was Mr. Harry Johnson.
To tell the truth, Elie’s beliefs before the Holocaust is very spiritual, godly and orthodox. He used to spend most of his time at the synagogue temple worshiping his God. Since he always cried while praying a man named Masha the Beadle asked him why he prayed and Elie’s thought it was a very strange question but he still answered him with a confused face on his look as if he had known idea what he was saying. Elie’s said why he lives and why does he breath he said again he doesn’t know.” I succeeded on my own finding a master for himself in the person of Mash the Beadle’’.
Schools must make the school environment one in which young people can learn and students are safe. School officials need to be enabled to enforce discipline and the upholding of the schools rules. Teachers and principals are acting for the parents of the students. Parents do not need a warrant to search their children. School officials are not the police.
“He did not smoke, and of course he did not drink; indeed, he had never tasted spirits, and was inclined to avoid people who had—a circumstance that did not shrink his social circle as much as might be supposed, for the center of that circle was supplied by the members of Garden City's First Methodist Church,a congregation totaling seventeen hundred ,most of whom were as abstemious as Mr. Clutter could desire.’’ (10) ( Culture and Community ) Capote used this quote to illustrate the culture of the village of Holcomb, where Mr.Clutter lived and how the social life of a religious family is rooted in their church. This quote represents culture, because is trying to tell us that people in Holcomb should live a life according to their religion ,because their actions affect their social circle and their community.
They want to work to give the students a place to dream and gain skills to be able accomplish those dreams. The Principal believes that the students will learn and accomplish their dreams if they have engaging lessons. There are other factors that can contribute to how the students learn. The school strives
I whole-heartedly agree with Moran when she states that, “the absence of trust impedes effectiveness and progress” (99). People need to be able to rely on one another and feel that what they are saying has value. Also, teachers want to know that administrators are going to put into place the steps in order to reach a goal if that is what they say they are going to do. Finally, parents and students need to have trust in the system which is often difficult when the system has failed them in the past. Therefore, establishing and maintaining this trust in each other is paramount to running a successful student-centered school.
Over time, schools have become more refined and communicative, especially with the addition of student liaisons at board meetings, reporting on their school’s events, activities, and
The second domain in the Florida Principals Leadership Standards is composed of three different standards. The first of these is Instructional Plan Implementation and is about how an effective leader must collaborate to develop and implement an effective instructional framework that aligns with the required standards and meets his/her students’ needs (“The Florida Principal,” n.d.). Due to the variety in options that are available to align instruction to a pupil, given that the instruction will be adjusted to his/her needs, I feel that the situational leadership approach will be able to be implemented in this situation to create better results as “different situations demand different kinds of leadership (Northouse, P., 2016). The different leadership styles that make up the Situational approach can be tied to this standard by connecting the necessary leadership style with the supportive and directive behaviors in the task that is performed. As an instructor, I will spend time in the S1 category of the Situational Leadership Model as I make use of a “common language of instruction”, spend time between the S1 and S2 categories by “communicate the relationships among academic standards” and by being engaged “in data analysis for instructional planning and improvement”.
Propriety and behaviour- While working with pupils it is essential for staff member to behave in an appropriate and professional manner at all times we it is their responsibility to set a good example for the pupil of the school. Teachers and their assistants are often seen as role models therefore it is an important part of the job to set a respectful and friendly example to which their pupils will intern mirror. Working within a school setting, all staff member have a duty of care to their pupils, this means that pupils need to be protected from any harm or danger and regular risk assessments have to take place to ensure the school is a safe environment for the pupils . Also before employing any new staff members the school has to organise  DBS checks to  be done before they can begin to work in the school. Whistle blowing-
Hi Peeps, Today's Quote "Don't allow yourselves to become frozen by your trials as it is a stealthy way to stop you from doing good." ~Taryn Barnes Fear When we allow fear to plague our hearts and minds, we stop relying on God and start obsessing over our personal circumstances. Like ice coursing through our veins, our progress, and good works come to a halt, frozen in time, while evil enjoys the temporary lead. Though there are times where we lose battles, we must always remember the war has already been won.
My theme for The Outsiders is “What's on the outside isn't the same on the inside”. I have three quotes to help support this theme. Towards the end of this book Ponyboy actually realizes that everyone is the same on the inside and the outside is just a book cover not literally but figuratively speaking. On page 35 Cherry and Ponyboy are talking and Cherry says, “‘Things are rough all over’” (Hinton 35).
When giving an leadership philosophy, it is important that one implement these given characteristics into their life. While illustrating this manner, a leader must also act as a motivator and disciplinarian, especially when leading teachers. In conclusion, leadership is the ability to retain the confidence of others. By doing so, a leader would be able to follow their own willingness to take their suggestions on the matter of any given situation. Through its contrasting definitions and beliefs, a leadership philosophy will always illustrate a worldview of leadership, include leadership practices, build on leadership relationships, and include a diversity as to how you would assort your leadership skills and most importantly, an assessment of an effective
Lastly, I would advise them to contact administration if any additional concerns arise. Educators, administrators, and support school personnel have the great honor of serving today’s youth. We must always protect the students, ensuring their safety as if they were our own, and we must listen to the concerns of all key stakeholders for we serve the
Ursula Le Guin defines Omelas as a utopia where the citizens’ lives are never wretched. Le Guin captures her readers’ attention by describing the city’s beauty with the colorful scenery, events featuring games and horse riding, and the everlasting happiness. She does a great job of leading her readers into thinking this could be the perfect society, but leaves us with the question of satisfaction. According to Le Guin, “happiness is based on a just discrimination of what is necessary, what is neither necessary nor destructive, and what is destructive” (p. 2). This quote means that there must be a balance for the society to succeed.
In developing this paper on leadership, I examined what was most important to me as a leader. As I reflected on my leadership philosophy, I thought about my experiences and the principals that I have learned through my own self-discovery and the observation of other leaders that I have had throughout my life. My leadership philosophy paper will focus on what leadership is to me, core values, and knowledge of others. In thinking about my definition of leadership, I thought of what was most important to me in and as a leader.
