In town the locals are talking about Tom Robison’s being shot 17 times, some feel like he got what he deserves but only if they could do it to Boo Radley for he’s a monster and it would be nice to clines the evil out of town. To Kill a Mocking Bird is centered on racism and social injustice showing how is bad. This is clearly shown in the book with it all starting with Tom Robison when he was falsely accused for rape. Along with how boo Radley was treated by all of Maycomb’s.

Due to this he became an urban legend the locals started to describe boo as non-human, a ghost, a monster. Indirectly the kids were being raciest towards him along with all of Maycomb for they didn’t consider him human anymore so they turned him in to a monster. The same thing happened with black people they weren’t humans but viscous animals that need to be timed and so the black where made into slaves. Boo on the other hand was treated out of fear very much like the black people. Boo Radley is like a black person due to the legends about him along with the fear of what would happen. People started to come up with ideas and why they need to be tamed. Harper Lee used him to show social injustice a sub-central idea. This can be seen with how the Jem talk about him on page 16 "Boo was about six-and-a-half feet tall, judging from his tracks; he dined on raw squirrels and any cats he could catch, that's why his hands were bloodstained - if you ate an animal raw, you could never wash the blood off. There was a long-jagged scar that ran across his face; what teeth he had were yellow and rotten; his eyes popped, and he drooled most of the time." Not to mention that he supposedly stared into people windows ant night. This is just his idea of what he looks like and what he does at night to the sound of it he’s a monster that feeds on raw
