Linda Sue Park guides us through the book A Long Walk to Water about a Sudanese refugee named Salva one of the only Lost Boys of Sudan that survived. Salva fled from his school when the war came to his part of the country. In A Long Walk to Water there were a few factors that made survival possible for Salva, support from loved ones, hope and perseverance, and opportunity. One factor that Salva survive was help and support from loved ones.
