If I could make a Ithaca College honors seminar I would have us examine what the use of silence can do with in art. We would examine this using multiple platforms including theatre, music, movies, as well as some literature and writings about the effect of silence. I would give the class the whole material and allow them to come to their own opinion on what exactly these pauses do. For each exposure to the material I would require the members of the class to do their own short individual reflect before coming in, to allow people to already have at least a bit of their own form opinion. This novel is really well written. Markus Zusak created a really good theme that could be quite realistic (People suffering during a war). I loved how Zusak made Death himself the narrator of the novel, “I witness the ones that are left behind, crumpled among the jigsaw puzzles of realisation, despair and surprise. They have punctured hearts. They have beaten lungs.”
I think that students should choose because it can help them in these ways. The book would be more pleasurable . They can understand the book better, and the teacher will not have to read it again. These reasons will help with the kids love of English, also ensuring that the kid will have fun too.

Students should be able to pick books to read next year because. I think this decision is the best one for many reasons. They should pick the books because the students can choose books that appeal to them. The students are also more likely to actually read the book. And the students can choose books that are more understandable for people their age.
