1. This book is fiction because, none of it is real although within the book what maddy has is a real disease but the book itself is not. A quote from the author “it is about the thrill and heartbreak that happens when we break out of our shell to do crazy, sometimes death-defying things for love.” maybe in real life yes we all do crazy things but nothing like what maddy does. 2. The main character of the book (before she finds out) was diagnosed with scid when she was a few months old. Her mom tells her this because when she was young, maddie's dad and brother died in a car accident and her mom doesn't want to lose her too. After I met Olly in New York we had the most amazing time together. It may have been only two days but, those were some of the best two days of my life.
