I like the book because it shows that you can survive with something as little s a hatchet. It shows how easily everything can change in your life. This could be better if brain actually told his mom he knew her
In the novel Touching Spirit Bear by Ben Mikaelsen, the main character Cole Matthews demonstrates he is reckless on several occasions. Cole exhibits this trait on page 65 when he throws a wood spear at the spirit bear. He does not think things through and does not realize the fact that a bear could could kill him with ease. On pg 50 “Peter's lawyer said “we don't know all the reasons for clues anger, but we do know he is out of control , any solution found by this circle justice must protect society and make Cole fully responsible for his actions”. This statement by someone else reveals that Cole is reckless and does not think things though because he beat up a kid and thought he would get away with it with our any consequences.

By Jack Crowley Touching Spirit Bear is one of the best books to ever exist in my opinion. Cole is one of the main characters and at the start he is sad and is a very bad person and becomes good at the end. The reason he is so sad is because of his parents who abuse him and are drunk. Cole went to jail for beating up a kid named Peter and smashing Peter's head on concrete. Cole had no remorse when he smashed Peter’s head on concrete.
“There in the palm of his hand was a wad of hair. Cole stared. The hair was white. All white. ‘It’s true,’ he whispered.
Touching Spirit Bear By Cameron Gillis Touching Spirit Bear is an intriguing and breathtaking novel by US author, Ben Mikaelsen . The genre of this book is adventure and coming of age because we, as the reader, understand the difficult journey the protagonist, Cole, goes through as he matures and changes. The book is carefully written from the first and third person point of view to help see and understand the events from different perspectives. The other main characters are Edwin, Garvey, Cole’s parents, and the Spirit Bear. The main themes of the book are the power of nature, anger, forgiveness, and healing.
Stick by Michael Harmon is a great book that involves comedy, tragedy, heartbreak, happiness, and betrayal. He wrote the novel with heart and he put a lot of work into it. Brett Patterson better known as stick for his sticky hands on the football field is a varsity wide receiver for his high school. The best one the school has ever seen. Many colleges are looking for him to play at their school but UCLA wants to give him a full scholarship.
Sometimes people need a certain experience to change their point of view. In Touching Spirit Bear, written by Ben Mikaelsen, a violent teenager named Cole Matthews is sent on a mission to redeem himself, and faces radical experiences that ultimately change his whole mindset. He commits the crime of beating up a fellow peer, then is banished to an island as a punishment for his actions by the Circle Justice; a committee that serves as an alternative form of justice in the Tlingit culture. He then faces difficult and even deadly challenges. As a result of this experience, he changes from his ungovernable, supercilious ways as he comes to strong and sudden realizations of how wrong he was, and he learns how to be an honest and forgiving human being.
Every time we learn many things from different things, then I will talk about my reaction for The Boys in The Boat , what I learned, and what I liked and disliked in the this book. First of all, I didn't finish the book yet, but I read enough parts of the book to give you my reaction. Anyways, this story of the most beautiful true story I have read in my life, because it has good true story from many years ago talks about an amazing people. Farther more, the author wrote the story bay a way that make the reader enjoy when he read the book, and gives him full picture for the story. Specifically, how he divided the story into parts and gave every one a special title either, and use some pictures to support the story.
Yazmene Escojeda Finishing of Spirit Bear So there headed back to where they lived went Cole and Peter. When they got there they went to the hospital just to make sure Cole had made some improvement in his health from the attack. So the then Coles lawyer walked in and Cole said “long time no see”. Then he asked Cole one more time “did you really see the spirit bear?”. Cole said answering very confident “ yes in deed we actually saw the spirt bear again on our last visit to the island”.
The boys in the book start out fine, and civilized just like the people in the beginning of the experiment. Gradually both groups of boys and ¨prisoners¨ start to become more dark, and less human. They both make great examples of how your surroundings change the way you behave. It shows how even when there is the opportunity to become evil, there are still good souls who stay the same.
Touching Spirit Bear Reflection Paragraph The biggest affect of the book “Touching Spirit Bear” for me was when he actually cared for someone besides himself, or changed. One of the things that he did was cared for the baby sparrows when he saw them in the nest, and when he saw them dead, I think he changed then. Another thing that he did was when he wanted help Peter get better and not try to commit suicide. I loved that he changed and made everything better between Peter and him at the end. When he changed, it made me enjoy the book, because at first I disliked it.
The book, Percy Jackson: The Battle Of The Labyrinth, by Rick Riordan is an amazing book about a group of demigods (half human half god) that have to save their camp from being destroyed by the evil forces of Kronos. Kronos is a titan that the gods banished to the deepest part of the underworld (Tartarus) after a war against them. Now that the titans are rising once again, the protagonists must travel through an ancient Labyrinth to stop them from demolishing their camp and temporarily halt them from achieving their goal of destroying Mount Olympus and the gods. This literary analysis will show the interesting relationships between some of the characters, and how the setting that they were in affected them throughout their journey.
The book Ghost of Spirit Bear is a sequel to the book Touching Spirit Bear. I enjoyed this book because it has a good story and plot. While this book is not as adventurous or moving as the first book Ghost of Spirit Bear still has a good plot and creates vivid pictures in your mind while reading. I prefered Touching Spirit Bear over this book because it has more adventure and a more shocking story. The book consists mainly of the same characters but more were added when Peter and Cole go to school.
