Boston 1777 during the revolutionary war there was three sides the patriots,loyalists, and the neutrals. If I was in 1777 during the war I would have been on the patriots side. They believed in complete independence, inspired by locke and paine, and they provided the troops. During the revolutionary war the patriots believed in complete independence from england.
The American colonists held the Boston Tea Party on December, 1773. It was not a party though. It was a protest against taxs from England. The British Parliament had already taxed sugar, coffee, wine, and newspapers. The tea tax was too much.
The evidence, from the 7 eyewitnesses, support that the colonists were the aggressors during the fateful evening of March 5, 1770, the Boston Massacre. Some cited evidence proves it. Number one, “I saw the people throw snowballs at the soldiers and saw a stick 3 feet long strike a soldier upon the right” (Theodore Bliss). In other terms they were assaulting the soldiers with pieces of snow or ice at them, afterward they hit one of them with a 3 foot club. This shows that the soldiers didn’t shoot to murder, they shot in self-defense.
On the evening of March 5th, 1770 on the cold streets of Boston, a group of British soldiers gunned down a crowd gathered in protest. What started as a group of young men harassing a guard would quickly escalate into what would later be referred to as the Boston Massacre as well as serve as fuel for the growing anger of the colonists towards Britain. This paper will analyze two accounts of this event. One is of a civilian observer by the name of William Wyatt whose account, while short, is to the point. The other is that of Captain Thomas Preston, the commanding officer of the soldiers involved who gives a much more dramatic description of the event.

This altercation, dubbed the Boston Massacre, was vital for the lead-up to the fight for American independence. The argument on who was at fault for the incident is still in question today. British soldiers claim that they had heard somebody say the word ‘fire’ while the protestors were assaulting the guards, giving them a reason to fire. Colonists claim they fired on their own accord and that the British merely wanted to kill civilians who posed no threat to Britain.
Massachusetts impact to colonial America was thoroughly important. Many events leading up to the American Revolution occurred in Massachusetts; events such as the Boston Massacre and the Boston Tea Party. The crown responded to these events by closing Boston ports in 1774. These events fueled colonist’s desire to fight the Crown, and lit the fuze to the American Revolution. It is very controversial on who started the incident, but their was a lot of colonial propaganda that came out on this incident. The colonists were the aggressors in the Boston Massacre because they taunted and “assaulted” the British soldiers, they made the soldiers think that their captain was telling them to fire, and their was a lot of propaganda and bias that came out to show the opposite of what happened at the massacre. The Colonists taunted the British and threw things at them to make them shoot. Most of the crowd was drunk and acted in an unacceptable manner.

Although The Boston Tea Party cost Great Britain a great deal of important resources it was a necessary event for the Colonists to get their freedom. The British Parliament passed the Intolerable Acts to punish the Colonies for dumping British goods in the harbor. The Boston Tea Party also paved the way for the Revolutionary War. Therefore the American way of life would be extremely different today had the Boston Tea Party never happened.
The Boston Massacres was a terrible event that has faults on both the colonists and the British soldier's shoulders. However, no part of this event would have happened if the colonists had not formed a riot right in front of the British soldiers. The colonists have the right to complain about their feeling on how they are treated by the king. They do not have the right harass and or threaten these British soldiers because these soldiers had done the colonists no fault. By complaining, cursing and or threatening these British soldiers is not going to change the way in which the colonies are treated.

In America, we learn that British soldiers fired upon innocent civilians, although this may not have been the case. After looking over the "Captain Thomas Preston 's Account of the Boston Massacre", as well as "Boston Massacre Trial Depositions" I believe that American historians should refer to the "Boston Massacre" as the "Incident on King Street". The definition of a massacre refers to an unnecessary and random killing of a large number of individuals.

The Boston Tea Party was a symbolic event of the Revolution, but one can speculate with a good degree of certainty that it would not have occurred if not for the series of historic events in Boston and other colonies that preceded it. The Boston tea party was a result of The Stamp Act, The Currency Act, and The Tea Act. Since Great Passed these three laws it angered many of the colonist and resulted in The Boston Tea Party. The Currency Act was the first of many new laws that Great Britain had created that the many of the colonist angry. The Currency Act was a law the prohibited American colonist from using there own American money to buy goods from England.
There were many disagreements and because of those, many events were the cause of the American Revolution. These events included bloodshed by others, peoples rights weren’t enforced, individuals didn’t receive freedom, and our country was just not yet whole. Despite of the causes of why the road to Revolution took place there were effects afterwards. When American Revolution was over with the The Declaration of Independence came into place, treaties were signed, and the Bill of Rights. Now these effects/events were amazing, it helped our country tremendously.
In order to interpret scripture one must follow eight principles that help unveil the word of God written in the bible. Through each paragraph I shall explain in more depth about each principle’s purpose and an example of it being used in the interpretation of the bible.
