The whole Boston area was put on lockdown. The Public Transportation service was postponed, schools became closed, and people were warned and convinced to not leave their homes. In Watertown the police went searching from door to door while the military style vehicles guarded the streets. Soon after the law enforcement called off the manhunt Dzhokhar was found by a man who lived in Watertown. He discovered Dzhokhar when he went in his backyard to check on his boat, where he found a man covered in blood, hiding under the 24 foot long boat. The watertown man called the police, who arrived shortly after, and soon they arrested him. After he was arrested a note written in the boat by Dzhokhar was discovered. The note revealed that the Boston Marathon Bombings were committed in relation to U.S war in Muslim countries. Dzhokhar was held in the Massachusetts federal prison, and had 30 charged pressed against him, in which he petitioned guilty to. He was later sentenced to the death penalty. Though the suspect was found, people in the area saw shutting down the city as unnecessary. It caused thousands of kids to miss school, economic costs issues linked with shutting down public transportation, and many of the working class people who need their wages were not paid that
