Initially as the internet space was limited to a small portfolio of product and services like books, video, travel and software and the Brick and Mortar was primarily limited other services like restaurants, dry cleaning, bakeries etc which required large space to set up. But now ecommerce have tried to close in the gap by innovating to provide these services. The report has adequately analyzed the space required to provide the services in the Brick and Mortar for different companies and how this proves to be hindrance for its growth particularly in urban areas for Canada and U.S.A. It also highlights the benefits that the Brick and Mortar has to offer like creation of job opportunities which it can leverage. It has also presented views on how traditional retail industry needs to realize the effect of ecommerce and how it uses it to its own advantage by innovating across various categories. Also how the challenge posed by the reduction in retail space can be faced effectively, so the brick and mortar continues to thrive in the
